About the Wicks in Mia Bella Candles
The wicks in Mia Bella’s candles are made from 100% Cotton and they are core free, so there’s no Zinc in them!
The Mia Bella’s 8 oz jars and 16oz jars use 2 Cotton wicks and the 20oz jars use 3 Cotton wicks.
Although the Cotton wicks are considered to be self trimming, it is recommended that you trim the wicks to between 1/8 and 1/4 inch at all times to extend the burn time since longer wicks tend to burn at a faster rate.

Each wick in a Mia Bella’s candle has a safety collar. The intention of the safety collar is to automatically extinguish the flame and prevent the bottom 1/2″ of the wax from burning. This is a critical safety precaution and a standard in the candle industry to prevent the glass jar from over heating and shattering.
